One question people often ask is about the frontend translation capabilities of Joom!Fish. Yes the Fish provides this feature now let's see a step by step example how.
This example is based on a standard Joomla! 1.0 installation with the Joom!fish installed with one additional language. It is also important to understand that frontend translation is only supported for content and not for anything else.
1. Step: Log into the frontend

In general every author or above can use the frontend translation
features of the Joom!Fish. As with the content itself the publishing of
a translation is limited to Publishers and above. So after you loged
into your site you are ready to start.
2. Step: Choose the translation you like to do
Now this second step depends on your site configuration and choosen
default language. We assume you have English as the default language
and your second language is active to. The content we gonna translate
is the Welcome text from Joomla! which is originally in English - there
we are fine.
In order to translate this content to your second language we now select this second language in the frontend.
3. Step: Translate the content
What you see now is the English content however this is only a copy of the original which is supoosed to make your live easier. Just change e.g. the tile and add some text in the intro. After you saved the content it is translated.
It depends now what rights you have on the site if this translation is already published or not (see above). So please check the administrator backend of the Joom!Fish and go to the translation overview of your site. Selecting your second language and "content" you should see your translation. If you are publisher or above this translation might already be published. If not please publish it now.Last but not least switch between your languages and you should see the translation changing in the frontend.
