There are two ways to upgrade your Joom!Fish installation. You can use the normal installation package or you can use the upgrade patch.

Normal installation package:

Just download the latest Joom!Fish version just as you did when you installed Joom!Fish. Use the same procedure as installing (so go to your Joomla! backend, extensions > install/uninstall, upload your downloaded package and press 'upload file & install') and voilà your Joom!Fish installation is upgraded.

Using the upgrade patch:

With this patch you cannot use the Joomla! installer. You need to do this the same as when you upgrade your Joomla! installation.
So download the correct upgrade package to your pc. Use an unzip program to unpack the zip-package. Then upload the contents of the whole package to your Joomla! website using a FTP-program. When you're done your Joom!Fish should be upgraded. You can check this the following way:

• In your Joomla! backend go to extensions > install/uninstall
• select the components tab
• check the version number of the Joom!Fish component. This should be the latest number.

Last but not least: don't forget to test whether everything works as it should be.
