Forme component and Joomfish issues

Postby Athenean on Fri Jan 04, 2008 4:58 pm

Hi all,
I'm new to this forum and very very new to Joomla but I will go straight to the point.

I am using Joomfish for the languages and Forme 1.0.3 for the forms. Everything works great in the content and modules etc apart from the forms. When I go to Joomfish translations I get 2 option for the Forme, one is the forme fields, where there i can translate the text of each field and the other is the Formme Forms, this is the one that has the problems. If I understand correctly from there is where I can control the form as a whole. All I need is to translate the title of the forms and the validation fields for each language. On my second click on the 'Copy' images I get an error at the bottom of my browser saying:
'Line: 221
document.admin.Field_formstyle' is null or not an object
Code:0
Url:.......index2.php'

After that I cannot save, apply or cancel the form, it stays totally inactive.

Also in the control panel on the 'State' tab all of them are Writable or Published apart from the:
Multi lingual abstraction layer bot Order not correct, I don't know if that has to do with anything.

I am using Joomfish V1.8.1 (2007-11-12)
and Joomla! 1.0.13 Stable

please please help, any ideas would be appreciated

thanks all for having a look.
well it looks like the problem lies with I.E, it needs the get.document.byID parameter, in Firefox it works fine so i will be using ff from now and on to finish with that website. it would be nice thought if a solution could be found so joomfish could be cross browser.

cheers.

Well, the system bot should be at first place.

The problem is that Joomfish is showing original html as a part of translation page and if this original html includes FORM html tag, then there is a problem. Have a look at this link where you can find a workaround for this issue:
