SEF and Archive Joomla Module and Joomfish

This forum talks about everything related to SEF/SEO extensions and Joom!Fish
Forum rules
When you use a 3rd party SEF extension, you need to turn off JFrouter. The SEF extension should take care of the routing of your URL's

First check if you are running the latest available versions of Joomla! (1.5.18), Joom!Fish (2.0.4) and the SEF extension you're having problems with.

We need the following at least (you can find this in your Joomla! backend under help > system info):

* Joomla! version
* Joom!Fish version
* SEF-Extension version
* PHP version (e.g. 5.2.5). Note: The support for PHP4 is discontinued.
* Web Server software (Apache or IIS with version number if possible)
* Server Operating system (e.g. Linux, Windows, Solaris, Darwin ...)
* Webserver to PHP interface
* Database version
* memory_limit from your phpinfo

Please enable error reporting and include any error messages in your posting.

Finally, please describe the steps required to recreate the problem and also please enable error reporting and give us any error messages generated.

Hi All,
i got Problem with this Module when i try it,

1. Active SEF for Joomla
2. publish archive module
3. archive some articles

now when we open site for first time ,, archive link look like this
http://localhost/demo/component/content ... 8&month=08

now assume that we are in any page in site,, else homepage..
we can see the Home page link... Frontpage component,
http://localhost/en/home.html

now the Archive links not work.. its look like this
http://localhost/en/home/2009/08.html

this link not work and its display 404 Page..

so its problem from Joomla.. or Joomfish...?

Thanks ,

Hi.

I have the same problem.
Articles not archived are displayed well, but after moving to archive SEF links (made by Joomla embedded mechanism) are broken.
This is problem in 90% related to Joomfish, because on other site with no Joomfish everthing works fine (Jommla! SEF + archive module).

One strange thing is, last SEF URL segment, this one with .html suffix, is after wrong (first on section / category list) category segment , regardless of section that it belongs to.
There is:
http://mydomain.com/en/wrong-section-segment/[article-no]article-title.html
instead of:
http://mydomain.com/en/proper-section-segment/[article-no]article-title.html

English is default site language.

It looks like "last good seen" section / category segment, when I switch to archive from non broken SEF URL (non archived article) this segment is then not "first of section / category list" anymore but inherited from previous address.
$life_site variable is set properly in configuration.php

You should use the following extension, because it works with the core SEF: http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions ... ting/13628
