Category blog layout problems

Hello

I've got JF working on my articles and menus - but it wont work as expected on articles which are in category blog layout mode.

The article I've been working on has a paragraph on the category blog page and then a "read more" link.

when I have my site set in Spanish the part of the article on the first page stays in english. When I click the "Read More" button I get the whole article - now in spanish - so the translation is clearly there.

What am I missing??

Hi,

could you post your system info?

And did you try to empty the Joomla cache and the browser cache?

I've tried emptying the cahce- both browser and J! - nothing helps.

I'm getting frustrated with the category blog issue - I don't understand why if I'm in the "mode" the translation doesn't work. At present I only have the one article and if I have it in article mode it works - in cat blog mode it doesn't.....

can you post a link? (and did you check your translations, I assume it's all ok, but check-check-double check is always smart)

This is becoming really frustrating.

The translations work perfectly - even with the "Read More" break on the front page (which I assume is a very similar configuration to the category blog layout). My translations all work if I use them as an article layout. but in Category Blog layout they still do not work.

I am at a dead end. I don'¡t know hat to try. I am thinking of a number of workarounds with alternate menus for the two languages - but the whole point of using Joomfish in the first place is to avoid this....

Here is the site (pic 1 and 2 - as I switch between the languages that text of the article does not change - other elements do:

The article is in the category "History"

OK - the translation is done.

My menu item is selected to display Category Blog Layout

If I change the menu item type to Single Article Layout the translation works! Just not as a blog layout.

I hope I'm making this clear enough for you to help me - I really appreciate it.

If not I will PM you access codes since the site is not yet live.
