[solved] Existing translations not taken into account

Postby Luxland on Tue Nov 13, 2007 2:45 am

Hello,

I use V1.7 and have installed 3 languages for Joomfish: NL, EN and DE.

The flags are activated and when switching languages via the flags the translated pages
for all 3 languages do appear correctly on the screen.

However in case I select NL or EN and select a different menu option always the DE translation pops up.

The 3 languages are active.
Sorting order: dutch, german, english and dutch being the sites default language.

I'm now a bit puzzled as it seems as if translations have been carried out correctly, because they are visible
when switching languages via the visible country flags.

Has anybody a suggestion on how to correct this problem?

What is your browser and locale settings? Is this happening on your PC only? Is your cache ON?

Hello again,

thanks for the support.

What I did today before coming back here was to recheck the complete joomfish installation, language activivation and translation. I couldn't find any troublemaker and then decided to clean the cache open a new browser session and then it worked.....

I'm using ff 2.0.0.9 and ie 7, default settings, to test and except from (known) minor layout differences, things work smoothly now in both browsers.

I think this one can be closed.

greetings,
