Embeding amharic fonts

I developed a website for a non-profit in English and Amharic. Users who have the particular fonts used are able to see the site in Amharic while those who do not have the Amharic font do not. Is there any way of embedding Amharic fonts so that users who do not have Amharic fonts are still able to see the Amharic section?

Well, better ask some web expert in that language. The truth is that ... we don't know. UTF-8 is most probably a solution, but I am not 100% it works with the Amharic language.
