Default language every time

Postby chops on Tue Feb 19, 2008 4:15 pm

Hi
I hope you can help me with this.

When I enter my webpage-adress I see the translated site. (which is kind of a problem because it is not everything that is translated)

Is there a way so whenever I enter my site I will see the original language?

My version of Joomfish is V1.7 (2006-05-01)

Thank you

We had a similar discussion here: http://www.joomfish.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=570.

The solution might work for you (even though it didn't quite do it for me ;). Anyway, I'd really like to know if you experience the same problems.)

The exact same thing happens to me when I do as it says in the post.

Then my language buttons does not work anymore -

However when I set the determine language to yes and the language selction for new visitors to Site default language it seems to work.

Interesting - it seems to be exactly the same problem (although I couldn't get your settings to work here).

Is the language of your browser the same as the default language of the site (if so, does the default front end language stay the same when the browser language is changed?)

Ok. My point in asking about the browser settings was merely to determine if the "site default"-setting was working or if the site was using the browsers language (which is perhaps also Danish). I had some strange problems with these settings, so the point was to double check any user will always get the site default language - not just you (because your browsers language is Danish).

Multi lingual abstraction layer bot

This is the most important bot used by Joom!Fish. Without it, the system will not work.

It has some major options:
- Enable Language determination
