I'll try to make a backup of my installation and reinstall Joomla! It is not a production environment yet, so no harm done. I'll let you know the outcome!

Yes, I would ask you to make a fresh joomla on the same server and try over it

Ask your hosting provider for any restrictions on the server.

Did you solve this problem? I just uninstalled Joomfish and no everything is blank too!

Did you have problems with installation? The issue here is about installation.
