Postby ninfis on Sat Apr 18, 2009 12:16 am

Hello! I want install joomfish 2.0.3 in a apache server in a mac os, I'm using joomla 1.5.9 and I have all folders ready to write&read but when I try install JoomFish apperas a new window that say: -1 - Se ha producido un error. Unable to create target folder.
This windows is diferent to the joomla page, the error doesn't appear in a red box it appears alone in a blank page.
Can somebody help me?

How is this possibly considered solved?

chmodding your whole Joomla installation to 777 is a hack, not a solution.

I don't know where you got this 777 but

If you have
Webserver to PHP interface: apache2handler
you most probably have problems with permissions.
You can chmod into 777 for the time you need and then change back. If you want to be extra careful you can put your site offline.

Yes, this is solved as stated before and as the topic starter has said.

Hi,

Sorry I didn't mean to come across as rude, I was just getting quite frustrated with the vague error message.

I have full root access to the server. I would like to try to avoid changing the whole Joomla! directory to other writable as we have some somewhat involved sticky bit permissions throughout the instance. If this error is indeed a permissions error, then I just need to know which directories need to be apache writable.

I have already made the directories listed in Help->System Info->Directory Permissions apache writable.

Sorry, but I don't understand your issue. Could you be more specific? (About to move/split this into a correct forum area.)

My issue is the same as the OP. On installation I get ' - 1 - Unable to create target folder '. If it is a permission problem, then can you please tell me which additional directories need to be apache writable.

joomla 1.5.15
joomfish 2.1.5
php 5.2.6
