With a big THANK you we like to announce that the Joom!Fish version 1.8 is about to be completed. The Release Candidate is available on our download page and open for productive testing.

After a three month internal Beta period with several testers on our SVN and technical mailing list we have completed all open tasks and fixed the known bugs in the system. Joom!Fish 1.8 is a feature release which provides several requested features and new ideas which have been discussed in the last time. We would like to thank all of you for your feedback, suggestions and bug fixes.

We have split the presentation of the new features in various documents available on our site. This is because otherwise it is just to much.

Ivo wrote already a nice article about his first impressions explaining the new features in an brief overview.

Geraint wrote an article about the new features in explaination. This article describes the whole new fallback language, the preview mode and the side by side preview which is now implemented. Not to forget the alternative language bot which allows you to present your articles with an easy accessible translation for your users.

A second article talks about the possibilities to manage regional content with the Joom!Fish and explains how you could manage various contents which are related to several countries in your company. How to use the Joom!Fish to manage those sites and the related content is described in detail.
